Hey look! A Blog!
Being called "Momma" - I never thought it would happen, and when I see my beautiful little girl smile and hug me and call me by my favorite name.... I'm over the moon.
Writing/Blogging - Even though I can't seem to find the motivation for it right now. It seems like my head has been filled with all of this fluff that I need to sort out before I can put down words. I'm looking for my writing to have some substance to it. I need a new muse, and ebay is fresh out. (Unless you count the negativity I have in my brain for stupidity like this, or all of the people in this state effected by this, or my husbands ex refusing to follow the court order for visitation with his children but demanding he sign away his rights to them while she sits on her ever growing ass - continually reproducing and not working - collecting more child support. Such tragedy.
Smoking - I don't smoke anymore. I would like to, but I don't, because I love my girls. It's bad for their health and it's worse for mine, and they need me around a lot longer than I do. Plus, I hate the smell. But damn I miss the nicotine.
Flavor Indulgences - Chocolate, Wine, Coffee, Fresh Fruit, Homemade Cookies, Cupcakes, Cheesecake. These things are made even better by their moderation.
A Clean Organized Home - The simple smell and brightness of a freshly cleaned home is an amazing feeling. If you have kids and you can wake up in one - more power to you!
Love - I like to spend time with my kids and/or my husband.Just snuggle with them, focus on them, forget about the world. They are ALL that’s important to me, and sometimes I need that reminder.
I think I will pass it on by tagging...... (and I apologize for double tags in advance!)

Top 10 Toys!
What better time of the year to bring up childhood memories – and better yet, childhood memories of TOYS! ^_^
The objective is to name10 things (toys, movies) from your childhood that you really liked to watch or play with and something about them.
The most awesome Bruce tagged me about a week ago. If you don't know him, you should, and if you haven't heard The Secrets you're really missing out!
10. Video Games
It all began when my Dad brought home and Atari 5200 when I was about 4 years old and the game Centipede. Centipede was followed by Dig Dug, Pac Man, Galaga, Pole Position… and others. We would play each game for a few weeks and then he would buy a new one. After about 10 games, my dad quit playing with the Atari and I played with a few of his friends. Then they stopped playing too. None of them seemed to be able to supersede any of this 4 year olds top ten scores... on any game that she played. *FLEX*
(None of you should mention the spankings I give while playing Tetris to my husband btw…)
9. Hot Wheels & Vanilla Home Run Pies
I bet you're wondering how these two things could possibly be related. Please allow me to draw you a diagram.

2 miles.
All I can say is that my mother should have paid more attention to where her 5 year old daughter was while playing outside on her brothers Hot Wheels. Perhaps I should ask her what she thinks happened to all of those quarters I always asked every adult I spoke to for.
8. Water & Sunshine
I am an ardent believer that every child should experience certain things. Based on my own experiences as a little girl green grass, summertime sunshine, flavored ice pops, & playing in the garden hose are just a few of them.
7. The Ewok Adventure & Ewoks: The
Pft.. nooooooo. I do not have a box full of ewok memorabilia in my closet including pez dispensers, comic books, a model of the planet Endor, color books, plush toys, and action figures… sheesh. And no you can't look in there either. Ahem. Moving on.
6. Backgammon & Monopoly
I think after the Atari years my Dad and I moved on to these games because he could win once in a while. I still argue that it's because there is a certain amount of chance involved. I'm not good with chance. Perhaps that's why I don't play the lottery.
5. Puzzles
I spent hours working on jigsaw puzzles when I was a kid. I would still put them together if I didn't have little fingers that liked to grab every little thing and place them into her mouth. For now Jigsaw Detective on Pogo.com will suffice. I can't wait to put them together with Aidy when she gets older though – Shh don't tell, I got her a few wooden puzzles for Christmas! ^_^
4. GI Joes
There is a house on
Is it just coincidence that I am married to my most awesome and devilishly handsome husband who's name is Duane AND that he has the Cobra symbol from GI Joe tattooed on his upper arm? Must be fate.
3. Wonderful World of Disney
Sunday night meant the end of the weekend, but I loved Sundays because it meant that The Wonderful World of Disney movie of the week would be on. My siblings and I would all grab our blankets and pillows at 8:00 pm and lay on the living room floor with a HUGE bowl of popcorn.
2. Boombox
I looooooved my "Boombox". It had a dual cassette deck AND CD player. Plus built in Subs. Hey, if you were 9 years old in 1988, you know that this was a very big deal. I know, I shouldn't brag…. But it was red too. I'll even admit to loving Mariah Carey, Keith Sweat, Paula Abdul, and Def Leppard.
1. Books
I read soo many books when I was younger. I have always loved reading. So much so that I can still remember the layout of every library I visited. My second grade class kept track of how many pages we had read for the year, I don't know how many I read exactly, because they stopped counting when you got to 10,000.
So, since I am lagging behind a lot of you have already been tagged. As far as I know though.....
You haven't.... sooo.... TAG! You're it ^_~
And OF COURSE anyone else who wants to play. Send me a link too cause I want to read yours!

Favorite Pasttime

…I scrapbooked. Even thought I have a hugemongous tupper filled with supplies that I keep accruing as I see something and say "Oh that is SO CUTE!" which usually goes with, "That would be perfect for Aidynn's Halloween pictures!" or "For Kindle's first trip to the zoo!"
…I went to the movies. The last movie I saw in theatres was with my studly husband when he took me to see Enchanted… in December of 2007. Being a lover of movies, this is really hard for me… and you can't make popcorn like they do at home.
*NEWSFLASH*
My most wonderful friend Lisa volunteered to watch the girls next week so that the hubby and I can go see… I have no idea! Does it matter?? LISA IS AWESOME!!
…I could read a entire book in one day. I wish I could again Oh hell, who am I kidding – I'd just like to read a book! Wait. Scratch that. I read LOTS of books. My personal favorite is I Love You Stinky Face. But there is also the wonders of There's a Monster at the End of This Book (Parts 1 & 2), Cookie Monsters Cookie Shapes Book, Where the Wild Things Are, Goodnight Moon, Wiggles books, Disney Princess books, and a plethora of other toddler cardboard bound books are read on a daily basis. I would like to read one made of real paper with that "new book smell" that has over 15 pages. Preferably one with an elaborate plot that would rev my mind into overdrive with stimulation!
All of these are the activities I enjoyed once upon a time… and then I had babies. The satisfaction of getting lost in all of these past times has been replaced by new past times….
Dancing! I have never danced so much in all of my life. Sure, I do the white girl shuffle, but Aidynn doesn't mind a single bit! I am proud to be her favorite dance partner. Recently she has started table dancing… as in, she gets on top of the coffee table and shakes her groove thang to the bumpin' sounds of everything from Avenged Sevenfold to … well.. anything with a decent amount of bass. She likes standing up high – thank goodness we refurnished our living room during my pregnancy with her with some sturdy furniture!
Cuddling! All.the.time. Even at 3 in the morning sometimes to my dismay. Kindle loves loves loves to snuggle. There is no where else she would rather be than in your arms, gazing into your eyes with her beautiful blues, and babbling a conversation back and forth and smiling. Trust me; nothing beats a Kindle smile when it comes to lighting up the room. All she has to do is coo, I get all oxytocin overloaded, and I don't care what time it is.
Teaching! Whether it was the first time I heard her say A B C D, had her help pick up her toys, or had her mimic the names of animals in her books – I LOVE knowing that her Duane and I are doing a good job with Aidy. She is such a clever girl, and I love knowing that her capacity for learning and her intellect isn't being wasted sitting in front of the television 24/7.
So, in just 2 years my whole life seems to have turned upside down. Even though I do sometimes miss the times when I could simply lay in bed all morning with my husband, amorously wasting away the days… and when I could jump in my car and go where-ever I liked without having to escort the princesses and their 50 pounds of baggage… and even just those hours of silence, when all I could hear was the voice inside my head helping me to evolve…
Sometimes I question my happiness in what I am doing. Sometimes it can be difficult having 2 children less than 18 months old. "Would I do this again now that I know how hard it can be at times?" and I have to laugh because it's such a ridiculous question because most of the time it isn't hard at all. I don't know how I would function without them!
I wouldn't trade my girls for everything I had before and more. They (along with my wonderful husband) are the best parts of my life, and I can't think of a single thing I would like to do more than spend time with them.
I suppose they are my favorite past time. Who would have guessed that?

Totem Pole
I've been so busy that I've barely been able to sneak in my 365 blogs each day, so I'm condensing the tags into 1.
Sorry it's taken me so long to post, but here we go!

The Amazing Bruce created a new game tag called Totem Pole... in his own words.....
Certain Native American tribes used totem poles. These poles were usually used to bless individual dwellings and, essentially, consisted of a stack of carved figures representing items that were revered. They could be persons, animals and other objects. A popular adage that comes from this is "low man on the totem pole" meaning that the poor schmuck on the bottom, holding up all the others. Ironically, this showed our poor cultural understanding since the figure on the bottom was the most important since it actually touched the earth, so was closest to nature and spirits. Here's the game. What persons, animals, concepts or objects would make up your personal totem pole. It can be as many or as few as you wish. I would prefer that you follow the true spirit, meaning the most important "totem" would be on the bottom. I would also like you to include a brief explanation of each totem. Finally, once completed, I'd like for you to send my explanation along to ten other persons, tagging them to explain their own totem poles.
5. My Friends -
"A friend is a hand that is always holding yours, no matter how close or far apart you may be. A friend is someone who is always there and will always, always care. A friend is a feeling of forever in the heart."
When I think about my friends the best of them pass through my heart with memories. During a lot of dark times, they made me laugh. I don't know what I would be today without the love of my friends.
4. My Siblings -
"When I count my blessings, the greatest of my joys, Our parents gave us siblings, instead of rooms of toys."
My siblings have been the most influential people in my life. Being the eldest of 6, and having irresponsible parents, I took care of them from a very young age. I wouldn't be the person I am if I hadn't had them to focus on and care for.
3. My Daughters -
"A daughter is the happy memories of the past, the joyful moments of the present, and the hope and promise of the future."
My life revolves around these two beautiful little girls. Every day I look at them and feel as if I have been given a priceless gift that only I will ever know.
2. My Husband -
"A soulmate is someone who has locks that fit our keys, and keys to fit our locks. When we feel safe enough to open the locks, our truest selves step out and we can be completely and honestly who we are; we can be loved for who we are and not for who we're pretending to be. Each unveils the best part of the other. No matter what else goes wrong around us, with that one person we're safe in our own paradise. Our soulmate is someone who shares our deepest longings, our sense of direction. When we're two balloons, and together our direction is up, chances are we've found the right person. Our soulmate is the one who makes life come to life." ~ Richard Bach
This man knows me completely. He's my best friend and my soulmate. I can't say it better than Bach did.
1. Myself -
"You must love yourself before you love another. By accepting yourself and fully being what you are, your simple presence can make others happy."
Not the body who you can meet for coffee, or the owner of the hands typing these words. I'm talking about the me that is in my head ~ the voice that only I hear, the thoughts that only I think, the impulses that only I know. I am talking about the woman inside that I answer to each day. She's had lifetimes of experience, and overcome every obstacle, learning each step of the way. It took me a long time to notice, but I think she's pretty awesome.
Not a lot of surprises in there, but I love this totem pole.

Countdown tag!
1. You have been slowly killing yourself for a long time now - I love you, but I refuse to continue to watch it happen.
2. Once upon a time we were a lot alike because I admired you; selfish, bitchy, and sometimes cruel because it set us apart from others. I'm glad that I grew up and realized that it's not who I am - I am sorry that you didn't.
3. I admire you so much as a mother, person, and friend.... even if I think you are nuts sometimes.

TAG, You're It!
Ok so it took me a little while, I've been a bit preoccupied - you know, that whole "real life" thing.
Here are rules:
1. Each blogger starts with ten random facts/habits about themselves
2. Bloggers that are tagged need to write on their own blog about their ten things and post these rules.
3. At the end of your blog, you need to choose 10 other writers to get tagged to list their personal facts.
4. Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they're tagged, and to read your blog.
Here we go................
1. I own every season of Stargate SG-1 and Smallville.
2. I have the paper in which I first wrote my alphabet and my name (and drew a picture of a bear). I was 2 1/2.
3. I am terrified of Sharks and Ticks.
4. I can say the alphabet backwards... probably faster than you can say it forwards.
5. Seven years ago I was diagnosed with PCOS with infertility and told I would probably never have children - definitely not without fertility medication. A low carb diet regulated my hormone and insulin levels, helped me lose almost 50 pounds, and as you can see - My husband and I have the most gorgeous baby girl and we're happily expecting our second daughter in August! NO MEDICATION NECESSARY!
6. I didn't have a name for the first 2 months of my life. My parents called me Baby until mid-October. I was born in August.
7. I can't sleep if my feet are covered.
8. I've always been fascinated by the 1940's. I really think I was born in the wrong decade.
9. When I was six my foot was run over by a car when I chased my mothers valentines day card into the street while walking home from school. I was taken to the hospital by ambulance. No broken bones, but I couldn't walk for 2 months.

True Colorquiz.com
Your Existing Situation
Needs peace and quiet. Desires a close and faithful partner from whom to demand special consideration and unquestioning affection. If these requirements are not met, is liable to turn away and withdraw altogether.Your Stress Sources
Feels unappreciated and finds the existing situation disagreeable. Wants personal recognition and the esteem of others to compensate for the lack of like-minded people with whom to ally herself and make herself more secure. Her sensual self-restraint makes it difficult for her to give herself, but the resulting isolation leads to the urge to surrender and merge with another. This disturbs her as she regards such instincts as weaknesses to be overcome; only by not succumbing to them, she feels, can she withstand the difficulties of the situation. Wants to be valued as a desirable associate and admired for her personal qualities.Your Restrained Characteristics
Believes that she is not receiving her share--that she is neither properly understood nor adequately appreciated. Feels that she is being compelled to conform, and close relationships leave her without any sense of emotional involvement.Willing to become emotionally involved, but demanding and particular in her choice of a partner and in her relations with those close to her. Needs reassurance and is careful to avoid open conflict since this might reduce her prospects of realizing her hopes.
Your Desired Objective
Has an imperative need for some bond or fusion with another which will prove sensually fulfilling, but which will not conflict with her convictions or sense of fitness.Your Actual Problem
Greatly impressed by the unique, by originality, and by individuals of outstanding characteristics. Tries to emulate the characteristics she admires and to display originality in her own personality.Your Actual Problem #2
Depleted vitality has created an intolerance for any further stimulation, or demands on her resources. This feeling of powerlessness subjects her to agitation and acute distress. She attempts to escape into a substitute world in which things are more nearly as she desires them to be.Friday, June 6, 2008

Same answer as above - I am completely in love.

When he sacrificed everything he had to stay with me.. one moment among many.
When he joined the Army to help support his family and provide a better future for our daughters.

There was no one moment. Everyday I wake up and I love him more and more.
See above answer, and the previous answer above it.
What was one moment when you realized that you'd be together forever?
When we went through some really rough times after I first moved down here, and he never left my side.
When I saw the look in his eyes the moment he said "I do".
What was one moment when you knew they were the one?
I was finally happy with my life and everything in it, and I didn't think I could be happier - then he showed me what love was. I've never seen him happier either. We really are soul mates.
Every moment with him is that moment.

make phone calls, set up interviews, and haul Miss Aidynn's heavy butt out the door to go shopping and to the bank to deposit my check and order D a new bank card (cause somehow he lost his at BCT - howthehell right?) and go to Arden to shop for maternity work clothes and MAC for new foundation because my skin tone is more fair than normal (thanks to baby) and go get stamps for myself and for D and get D a card that says I miss him and a new wallet and write him another letter after buying more stationary and not forget to take my prenatals..... seems like a lot to do.... especially when I am going to have to fight with myself to get out of bed.

TAGGED
Tag, you're It!
Once you have been tagged, you have to write a blog with 10 weird, random things, facts, habits, or goals about yourself. At the end choose 10 people to be tagged, listing their names and why you chose them. Don't forget to leave them a comment (you're it) and to read your blog. You can't tag the person who tagged you. Since you can't tag me back, let me know when you've posted your blog so I can see your answers.
1. I own every season of Stargate SG-1.
2. I have the paper in which I first wrote my alphabet and my name (and drew a picture of a bear). I was 2 1/2.
3. I am terrified of Sharks and Ticks.
4. I can say the alphabet backwards... probably faster than you can say it forwards.
5. Six years ago I was diagnosed with PCOS with infertility and told I would probably never have children - definitely not without fertility medication. A low carb diet regulated my hormone and insulin levels, helped me lose almost 50 pounds, and as you can see - My husband and I have the most gorgeous baby girl and we're happily expecting number baby 2 in August! NO MEDICATION NECESSARY!
6. I didn't have a name for almost the first 2 months of my life. My parents called me Baby.
10. My mothers name is Rain. Her sisters names are Misty, Dawn, and Windy.
