I got my pants today!
Since I am at that stage where the question is, "Is she getting fat(ter), or is she pregnant?" comfort is really all that matters.... well, actually comfort is all that ever matters with me.
Speaking of comfort levels, my back is killing me! My roomate and I did laundry tonight... and since I procrastinated for almost 4 weeks.... I had like 6 loads (7 if you count the cat hair covered comforter). I live in an upstairs apartment.... so laundry night inventory went down like this:
2 hampers of laundry
1 basket of laundry
1 comforter
1 Aidynn in a carseat
1 diaper bag
1 purse
1 can of quarters
1 bottle of Tide
1 bottle of Downy
3 trips to the car in a newly assigned parking space twice the walking distance away.
5 trips up and down staircase
Infinite number of times I thought "I can't wait til Duane gets home and we move into our house!"
And a partridge in a pear tree..... which sadly had to be left behind for lack of room in sedan-model sized vehicle.
If only I could motivate myself to use the complex laundry and do my laundry progressively as it accumulated, it would be easier on me, yeah? Not to mention it would cost half as much. Sorry. I just don't work that way.
Instead I will be bitter that for the first time in 2 years my pampered ass had to do her own laundry. I DID ask my roommate if there was a laundry service that did in-home pick up and drop-off.... she said most likely but it would probably be expensive.... I'll get back to you on that one. I also had the out-loud epiphany tonight that if I could procrastinate only doing laundry every 4 weeks... I will only have to do it 4 mor times before Duane gets home... and if I buy even more maternity clothes.... I might be able to push it to only 3 times! My friend just laughed at me, but I know she knows I am serious. heheheh...alright alright. But still!
But I am happy my jeans came today and are so comfy-comfy. And I am happy I had a friend to do my laundry with. And I am happy that when I completely forgot about my load of towels and bath rugs until we got all the way home, I went back and the nice laundry lady had taken them out of the dryer, hung them, and put them in the back for me.... (I wasn't too worried, I just bought new bath rugs and I don't need an excuse to replace my towels, but still!)
Now if they could just invent the never-ending rolaid and the perfect bra in my size.....
