The No-No Magnets

My daughter is moving. She moves all over the floor and goes after anything that she is not supposed to have. These things are referred to as "no-no magnets". Most everything is out of her reach, but there are certain things that I cannot remove - like floor lamp sliders. You know, the slider switches on some floor lamps? She is fascinated by them and as soon as I turn around she is after them. She's damn clever too. A little too clever.

She also can pull herself up onto her knees now. She is getting so big, and she is so sweet. Each morning I wake up to her wrapping her arms around my neck and snuggling her head on my shoulder.

Having her with me, since Duane has been gone, I thought would be tough. Sometimes it is. She can be demanding. At the same time, I realize how much of a blessing she is to have with me. We both love him more than anyone else in the world, and we both miss him together. When I play her videos she stares at the screen and then at me. We look at his pictures every day, and I read her letters he writes to her. He really loves her, and I know he really loves me too.

So, I am enrolling her in daycare on Friday. I have decided to go with the private daycare. $250 a week, OW ARGH!, but I know she will get the best care possible. Not having to worry about my daughters safety is priceless.
