I can walk now. I walk everywhere; except for those places I am trying to run to. That's a bit more tricky! I can also climb. I love to climb. Mommy says I am part monkey because I can climb onto the couch, and I climb on Daddy's feet, I climb on the vacuum cleaner, and I can even climb the stairs! (Mommy doesn't like it when I try and do that though.) If I can climb on it I will.
I can say LOTS of words. Words like Ike! (Mike the hamster), A-ee (Aidy), Elmo, Hi, Daddy, and Mooooooom. (I say that one A LOT!) Mum mum - which means either a rice cracker or boobie milk, whichever I am in the mood for. I can also say whoa!, and wow!, and uh oh! (I really like saying uh oh! I throw cheerios on the ground one at a time just so I can say uh oh after each one.) I say no too. I say no a lot. Even without a reason to say it.
I love to sing words too! Even though I only know the letter "A", I sing it in tune of the alphabet song. A, A, A, A, AAAAA... Sister knows almost the whole alphabet song, so she helps me sometimes. Mommy and Daddy sing to me, and I sing along. It makes them smile. Oh, and the car, I sing along in the car a lot because the radio is always on.
I really love baby dolls and princesses. Mommy bought me a Princess! baby doll this weekend that even has a tiara. I love her soooo much! I squealed the entire time Mommy was getting her out of the box, and as soon as Mommy handed her to me I gave her lots and lots of kisses. I even made the kissy sound - "Mmmmmm-mah!" Just like that! Daddy says that I am definitely his "girlygirl".
I colored by myself for the first time the other day too! With a red and blue crayon when we went to Red Robin for lunch. (Mmm... I like steak fries...) I was super proud of myself. I even surprised Daddy! He said my fine motor skills are very advanced.
I'm going to be 1 year old in just a few weeks. We're just going to have a little party at our new home with cake and a few presents. We'll do something fun that day like Funderland or Fairytale Town. Oh, and Mommy is going to take me to get my 1 year portraits done! That is always a special occasion in our family.
Only a few more weeks until I am an official "toddler".
Mom says that the year went by way too fast.
