Baby Shower!

Yesterday the girls from work threw Aidynn and I a baby shower. It was so much fun.

The shower was at Teri's house. Duane discovered she had a pool and she pointed out to him that you could jump right off the roof into it - that made him VERY happy. He was also quite excited about the margarita machines - that we thought were slushie machines at first because of their size. He was so sweet coming with me. I told him he didn't have to since he would be the only guy.... laid on a little bit of guilt... but told him I would like him to. He didn't complain at all - not that I expected him to though. Teri made SO much good food - salad and fruit and veggies. We had Mimosas for the girls and sparkling cider for me. Francee brought a salad made with apples and cut up snickers bars tossed with cool whip - heavenly! Donna brought the BEST sandwiches. Rebecca made a delicious cake - one of my favorites kinds even - white cake, with strawberries, strawberry filling, and white icing. Gabby brought her daughter Sonia (who is so darling!). I was so happy Lesa came as well. She was like my security blanket for the first few minutes we were there - until I relaxed a little bit. She's always so happy and good at making others comfortable.

There were so many laughs. It was so nice to hang out with the sales girls outside of work and get to know them a little better. I was a bit nervous about that before the party, but soon after we got to Teri's I was made to feel totally comfortable.

We ate, laughed, played games, opened presents, and just socialized for a while.
Aidynn got so many cute things! So cute in fact, that I now know that Lesa and Donna can always be trusted to pick out clothes for Aidynn and get exactly what I like - since they both bought sun skirt jumpers that Duane and I already got for her. Too funny! Conveniently, they were in sizes other than what we had and they were two of my favorite outfits for her so far.

This little girl has a wardrobe bigger than mine! Daddy is washing all of her laundry this morning (we are preparing for her grand entrance) and then he is going to McDonalds because Aidynn and I want McGriddles. We slept in until 8:30 this morning!

We cuddled for a long time this morning, and the first thing I heard when I opened my eyes was "Happy Mothers Day". He is so good to me. Aidynn (of course) had to be in on the attention too and started moving all over the place. Duane actually identified her little butt! She likes to stick it out so much I think he has gotten to the point where he can tell all the time now!. *laughs* Last night she got the hiccups and I remembered to listen with the doppler *bloop bloop bloop*. It was so cute!

Today, I think we are going to take Chasey to the park (we were too tired yesterday after finishing our errands) and maybe have a picnic by the river. I know Chase is excited.

Just another Sunday in the life of me - I'm so abused aren't I!?

I don't know if there has ever been a happier *35 week* pregnant mama! Tired - yes. Sore - oh yes. Happy despite it all - definitely.
